‘Beurre Hardy’ Pear Tree (12 Litre Pot)

The ‘Beurre Hardy’ Pear Tree produces a popular orchard variety of pear that has a superb and distinctive flavour.

Prized as an outstanding dessert pear, Beurre Hardy Pear Trees originated in France and have been around for more than 200 years. Known for producing a regular yield with upright growth, this reliability is coupled with foliage that turns a wonderful bright red in autumn to make it an attractive feature in the garden. This pear is recommended for its hardiness, juicy flavour and russet brown fruits.

Beurre Hardy is available in a 12 litre pot on a rootstock that makes it suitable for growing in your garden. The rootstock controls the rate of growth and ensures the tree fruits earlier than when grown on its own roots. Most modern cultivated pears are grown on Quince A rootstock.

Quince A rootstock is a semi-vigorous variety that is suitable for most soils and sites. This rootstock allows the tree to grow to a mature height of up to 3.5m (11ft) over 10 years.
