This Betula utilis var. ‘Jacquemontii’ Tree, or Himalayan birch, has gleaming white bark and wonderful foliage, that changes from dark green to shimmering gold in the autumn.

The ‘Jacquemontii’ Tree will bring a range of colour and interest to your garden throughout the seasons. The appearance of vibrant green foliage in spring, is coupled with delightful yellowy-brown catkins that gently sway in the breeze. As the season changes to summer, the green foliage contrasts beautifully with the shimmering white bark. In autumn the leaves change to a breath-taking sunshine yellow, that drop to reveal the wonderful peeling white and soft pink shades of the bark in winter.

This medium-sized Birch grows to an ultimate height of around 12 meters, with an airy and open growth habit and a pyramid shape. It is hardy, so grows well in almost any position in the garden to create a stunning feature tree on its own, or planted in groups, to create a magnificent display in your outdoor space.
