A relatively new variety, ‘Beth’ Pear Tree produces small, pale yellow fruits with a high yield.
As an English pear, Beth has a sweet flavour and can be harvested early in the season.
Beth is available on a rootstock to make it suitable for growing in your garden. The rootstock controls the rate of growth and ensures the tree fruits earlier than when grown on its own roots. Most modern cultivated pears are grown on Quince A rootstock.
Quince A, a Semi-Vigorous variety, is suitable for most soils and sites. This rootstock allows the tree to grow to a mature height of up to 3.5m (11ft) of 10 years.
