Anemone blanda blue-flowered produces large daisy-like flowers in a range of blue tones and shades appear in March and April.
These delightful blue blooms are perfect for planting under specimen trees to naturalise – this is also the perfect spot for pollinators such as bees and butterflies. ‘Blue Shades’ can also be planted in clusters or drifts where, if left undisturbed, will spread year on year.
Some perfect partners for this fanciful plant are Snake’s Head Fritillaries, or use Anemone blanda blue as a carpet around taller flowers like Tulips, Hyacinths or Daffodils.
Plant 5cm deep and 15cm apart in well-drained, humus-rich soil.
