The Amaryllis ‘Samba’ Premium Indoor Growing Kit produces large cherry red and white flowers, with a slightly frilly edge, that will add fun and vibrancy to your indoor displays. Presented in a gift pack, it makes a wonderful gift and comes with everything you need, including a bulb, pot and compost.
Amaryllis ‘Samba’ is a stunning flowering Hippeastrum bulb, more commonly known as an amaryllis, which can produce multiple large flowers per stem. Flowering during the winter months, this amaryllis will provide vibrant colour and produce an upright plant (26-28cm). With large red and white blooms, it is perfect for creating eye-catching displays around the home and as it comes boxed, this Amaryllis ‘Samba’ also makes an excellent living gift for a gardening enthusiast.
Easy and reliable to grow, simply place the compost pellet in a mixing container and add 350ml of lukewarm water. Leave it to expand for thirty minutes to one hour and then mix the compost well before use. Half fill the container provided, place the bulb in the pot and fill around it, leaving a third of the bulb showing.
This flower is happiest when planted in direct sunlight at room temperature. The ‘Black Pearl’ will then bloom around 8 weeks after planting in winter or early spring. You may need to support the stem as it grows and as the flowers bloom. To extend the flowering period, we recommend moving this amaryllis to a cooler position once the flowers start to show.
