Allium ‘Ornamental Onion’ (Allium Atropurpureum)

The Allium ‘Ornamental Onion’ (Allium Atropurpureum) is a magnet for bees and butterflies, making it a fabulous addition to pots or borders in any garden.

These tall and moody flowers, originating from Eastern Europe, love sunlight and well-drained soil, and are best planted in groups. This flower is great to use to fill gaps in a sunny border, or can be grown in bold drifts together. Ornamental Onion also makes an excellent cut flower.

Plant these bulbs 15cm deep and 15cm apart so that the flowers have room to bloom widely.
