What can be more optimistic than a little burst of winter colour to brighten up the shorter days and keep us smiling through to spring? Why not join us to plant up a pot of colour which will do just that.Our Winter Container Planting Workshop will illustrate and explain how to use plants, shrubs and spring flowering bulbs to bring seasonal interest, texture and colour to your containers right through until Spring.Choose from our selection of weather-proof pots and a range of seasonally appropriate plants under the expert guidance of our in-house plant specialist, Matt Peck (our Head of Horticulture) who’ll demonstrate how to create the perfect display.This informative and practical workshop will last for approximately two hours and thirty minutes and will include lots of opportunities to chat with Matt about all aspects of gardening including choosing the right site in your garden for your containers, aftercare, feeding, pruning and planting combinations.The workshop takes place in Glasshouse 1, we heat the Glasshouse but dress up warm, and a welcome hot drink and choice of homemade cake will be provided. No experience is necessary, all materials will be supplied for this workshop but please bring your own gardening gloves to protect your hands. Please be prompt for a 10am start as there’s a lot of ground to be covered and when you’re completely happy with the finished effect we’ll help you to your car with your container.There are a limited number of tickets available, so booking is essential.
