Gates Garden Centre are pleased to announce that they will be running the popular Certified by Weber Barbecue courses this year, on Saturday 14^th May.

These two new courses are each designed to take your barbecue skills to haute cuisine level and are intended for anyone using gas barbecues, electric barbecues, wood & pellet barbecues or charcoal barbecues who wants to get the very best out of their set-up. There are two sessions on the day, with a morning Weber ‘Round the World’ grill session and an afternoon Weber ‘Smokehouse’ course. You’ll graduate from both courses with a free Weber Apron, a Weber certificate and receive access to a digital recipe booklet of the course content. The sessions are bookable separately at the cost of £50 per person per course.

Morning Session – Weber BBQ ‘Round the World’ course

On this course you’ll get the opportunity to delve into a world of flavour and get hands-on. Under guidance from the Weber chef, you and your classmates will prepare the following exciting dishes, which you get to eat yourself:

Weber ‘Round the World’ Menu

Cedar plank trout
Jalapeno stuffed popper pork tenderloin
Grilled Street-Corn Curried cauliflower
Reverse seared steaks
Cinnamon maple grilled peaches

Afternoon session – Weber Barbecue ‘Smokehouse’

Weber’s Smokehouse course will give you and your classmates the background understanding and hands-on experience to guide you through a tempting array of smoking experiences available with your grill. You’ll also discover how versatile a Weber Barbecue can be and become an expert in smoking on any grill. Under the expert tutelage of the Weber Grill Masters you will personally prepare and consume the following delicious dishes:

Weber ‘Smokehouse’ Menu

Maple-Bourbon smoked chicken wings
Sweet potato fries
Cheese and bacon burger with smoked BBQ sauce
Maple mustard glazed onions
Reverse seared Cote de Boeuf
Salted Caramel Guinness and chocolate cake
