Q 1: What types of garden furniture does Bramblecrest make?

Answer: Bramblecrest make synthetic rattan wicker and aluminium metal garden furniture with teak, fabric or rope finishes and soft touch season-proof cushions. One of their premium collections, Monte Carlo comes with fully integrated faux leather upholstery and does not come with removable cushions.

Q 3: How fast is delivery?

Answer: At Gates Garden Centre, we offer Free Delivery in 3 to 5 Working Days on most Bramblecrest furniture – often quicker for local orders. Q 4: How long are Bramblecrest guarantees and are they reliable?

Answer: Bramblecrest garden furniture comes with a solid five year structural guarantee (subject to terms and conditions) with a 3-year weave guarantee and 1 year for fabric, parasols and moving parts. So, yes you can rely on a Bramblecrest guarantee and with superior craftsmanship alongside high-quality materials, Bramblecrest are confident their all-weather furniture will last.

The1 year guarantee applies to: parasols (covers & bases, LEDs, lights, speakers), Lazy Susans, furniture covers, firepits (& accessories), cushions (bags & boxes), cocoon frames, table tops (teak, ceramic, tree-free & spraystone), upholstered fabric (faux leather/ textilene/ solution-dyed fabric), adjustable height table mechanisms, recliner chair mechanisms and paint on aluminium garden furniture (subject to terms and conditions).

To participate in the Bramblecrest guarantee, customers must register their purchase within 28 days of delivery and retain a proof of purchase from Gates (an email with your order number if you purchase from us online).

Q 5: Does Bramblecrest furniture require protective covers?

Answer: No not always, but to protect any garden furniture from the elements and general garden grime, we highly recommend the use of a garden furniture cover to prevent nuisance bird droppings or sticky tree sap spoiling your enjoyment. It is important to air furniture regularly, particularly woven furniture to allow condensation to evaporate and prevent any mould build-up.

Woven, teak and aluminium products by Bramblecrest can be left outside all year round uncovered and they won’t rust. The only exception being cocoons, which come with strong steel frames that may rust if the tube frames are dragged and scratched. This can be easily corrected and touched up with paint. But to avoid any unnecessary work, we highly recommend choosing a permanent location for a cocoon and use a cover to keep it clean. Cushions are designed for seasonal outdoor use and should be stored in a dry and damp-free location when not in use. Q 6: Do I need to clean Bramblecrest furniture?

Answer: Furniture can be looked after without the need to clean, especially if used in conjunction with garden furniture covers and storing cushions regularly when not in use.

But any stains on woven or aluminium garden furniture can be easily cleaned with warm soapy water and a soft brush. Cushion covers that unzip can be machine washed on a cool 30 degree cycle. Our top-tip is to make a note of which way the foam inserts go to help you get the cushion covers back on correctly and do not use strongly coloured cloths as these may cause staining.

Q 7: Is faux-leather water resistant?

Answer: Yes, it is water resistant which means furniture in the luxury Monte Carlo range can be left outdoors all year round uncovered. To clean away any garden grime, simply use Outdoor Leather Protector with a soft cloth.

Q 8: Will teak furniture change colour?

Answer: Yes, the bright hues of new teak timber will mellow over time to a beautiful grey. To retain brightness or to restore teak, we recommend using Bramblecrest Teak Cleaner, Teak Protector and Teak Shield.

Q 9: Does Bramblecrest wicker furniture rot or fade?

Answer: It shouldn’t fade if looked after, because it’s made with synthetic rattan weave. It won’t rot either, unlike natural rattan because it is made from extruded polyethylene, Bramblecrest wicker is colourfast, but if woven furniture is left exposed continually to strong UV rays, over time some slight fading may occur. You can prevent this, by using a protective garden furniture cover regularly to prevent exposure to strong UV rays when not in use.

Q 10: Is Bramblecrest furniture really recyclable?

Answer: Yes, Bramblecrest aluminium and wicker frames are made with fully recyclable materials. Environmental awareness is something Bramblecrest hold dearly to their hearts. To minimise any impact on the environment Bramblecrest operate as a ‘zero to landfill’ policy to ensure waste is processed in a responsible and sustainable manner. Plus, in partnership with Ecologi a tree is planted for every furniture set sold to reduce the carbon footprint of Bramblecrest furniture.

Q 11: Can I purchase spare parts?

Q 12: It says ‘some simple home assembly may be required’, what does this mean?

Answer: Most Bramblecrest chairs, sofas and loungers will arrive fully assembled. However, some woven tables and firepits will require assembly at home and we normally recommend this to be at least a two-person assembly. All instructions and tools are included where applicable. If you require assistance please let us know by leaving a comment on your online order or by discussing with the Gates furniture team in-store.

Q 13: What is a ‘tree-free’ table top?

Answer: As an alternative to natural wood, tree-free table tops look like quality slatted timber tops but are in fact made from a durable and long-lasting high impact polystyrene, which is fully recyclable. Tree-free slats are replaceable too making them a versatile choice.

Q 14: How do I report an issue with my Bramblecrest furniture or accessories from Gates?

Please take at least two photos of any problems that occur during the guarantee period, including:

• At least one close up image to show the issue
• One to show the entire product or set (this will help us to identify the product/s).
